Spring is traditionally the time when we think about venturing out into the garden as the temperature becomes bearable again. Large retailers often have a vast array of garden furniture on show, such as outdoor sofas, table & chair sets, picnic benches, swing chairs and hammocks. The time to buy, however, is when these stores start their Spring sale and cut their prices. If you're brave you could wait for the 2nd wave of discounts to be released e.g. an extra 20% off; but ensure the store has plenty of stock if you have your heart set on something. Whilst at the garden centre, gardeners will also find some bargain plants and tools on offer.
Fashion is another strong category during the Spring sales. Retailers like Next, M&S, John Lewis and ASOS transition their ranges from winter to summer, which means end-of-season winter clearance overlaps with early spring lines. Expect discounts on coats, knitwear and boots as shops make room for lighter fabrics. High street staples such as Zara and H&M often run mid-season sales in March and April with 30-50% off selected lines.
Spring 2026 also brings bank holiday shopping weekends, particularly over Easter, when many retailers run flash sales or extend their promotions.
