UK Sale Dates in Your AI Assistant
If you use an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT, you can ask it about UK sales using January Sales’ listings. We run a free MCP server (Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI assistants connect to other services), so once you connect it your assistant can answer questions like “When did Currys’ January sale start last year?” or “Which furniture sales are on right now?” from the same sale dates this site shows.
What it can do
- A shop’s sales: any sale it is running now, with the dates it started and ends, and its sales from the latest December and January with the dates they started and ended.
- Sales in a category: the sales running now in a category such as electricals, fashion or furniture, one per shop.

Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over Streamable HTTP can connect. For clients configured with a JSON file, add:

"mcpServers": {
"januarysales": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://www.januarysale.org.uk/api/mcp"
}
}
}Free, read only and private
- No account: the server is open and free to use.
- Read only: it looks up sales and cannot buy anything or change anything for you.
- No personal data: your assistant sends us only the shop or category you asked about; we answer and keep nothing. See AI assistants in our privacy policy and our terms of use.
How we make money
Sale links in the answers work the same way as links on this website: if you click through to a shop and buy something, we may earn a commission from the shop. It never changes the price you pay.
